In the 48th minute Salvador Hats shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valer Onișoru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. El Fortín de Floresta were winning 0-4.

PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marco Paulin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-9. El Fortín de Floresta's Marco Paulin got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Marco Paulin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. El Fortín de Floresta's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
