An unexpectedly hard shot by Jarvis McLaughlin in the 16th minute of play forced Errecaborda AFC's goalkeeper Edmond Verdun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edmond Verdun made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Jarvis McLaughlin sent off a good shot on target. Edmond Verdun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernabe Bazo in the 28th minute of the match. Miguel Savion fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Otto Hegeman having to interfere. The Errecaborda AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 40th minute Joe Tate shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Otto Hegeman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joe Tate stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Jarvis McLaughlin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edmond Verdun was relentless in the 61st minute of the game.
