The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Ssc Napoli booed when Longobarda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adriano Colantoni didn't get a good kick on the ball. Blair Lamb struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Lev Yashin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ssc Napoli. Ssc Napoli's Tytus Jarosz managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Armin Iacovone in the 25 minute of the game. Lev Yashin came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Ssc Napoli's Yu Cheng Jing. But to his dismay, Yu Cheng Jing quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After 37 played minutes Ssc Napoli got a freekick which was hit by Qu Qian Cheng. In the 44th minute, Longobarda's Edwin Godholm ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cauã Domingues. Cauã Domingues yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Edwin Godholm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cauã Domingues having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edwin Godholm made a kick off. Lev Yashin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yu Cheng Jing in the 55th minute of the match. Cafu Martins charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cafu Martins the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cafu Martins hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Ssc Napoli's Stevie Hornsby was substituted for Tytus Jarosz. In the 59th minute, Cafu Martins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lev Yashin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Austin Lomas, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Cauã Domingues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anthimos Vougas in the 61st minute of play. Yu Cheng Jing scored 1-3 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lev Yashin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anthimos Vougas in the 73rd minute of play forced Ssc Napoli's goalkeeper Cauã Domingues to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Anthimos Vougas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Anthimos Vougas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cauã Domingues having to make a save. Cafu Martins got his second yellow card in the match during the 81st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Longobarda's Cafu Martins got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Longobarda made a substitution. Florian Cocca replaced Zhang Xiang. Ssc Napoli's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 84th minute of the game, when Qu Qian Cheng after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Longobarda's goal. Qu Qian Cheng was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Longobarda's goalkeeper Lev Yashin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Ssc Napoli supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ssc Napoli would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
