After 3 played minutes, Kickers United's Tomás Firmin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Damian Torres came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Kickers United reached it. Kickers United's Cederik Huts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mateo Transito in the 4th minute of play. If Jorge Reijnders had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Damian Torres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Reijnders in the 6th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the match, Jorge Reijnders notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of S.C. Sardaukar's Damian Torres. Damian Torres was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 19th minute, Markus Van Bombergen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Kickers United's Cederik Huts got control of the ball when Ger Saber tried to sneak it across the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Kickers United's goal looked a bit too open when Mateo Transito came free, but Cederik Huts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sardaukar's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Reijnders came free, but Damian Torres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ger Saber got free with Cederik Huts in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 45th minute Mateo Transito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cederik Huts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Kickers United were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
