If Sven-Hendrik Ohmer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Agustín Rossi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven-Hendrik Ohmer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 9th minute, Sven-Hendrik Ohmer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Agustín Rossi was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Marcos Rojo kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Fabian Jaroszewicz made in the 23rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Martin Lain however managed to control. Evelio Salvadore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Naohiro Takahara in the 28th minute of play. C.A.Esparta's Evelio Salvadore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvestre Cisco in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd minute Frontera AFC were awarded a corner. Silvestre Cisco went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Silvestre Cisco almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but C.A.Esparta's Evelio Salvadore did a great save. Agustín Rossi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Galván in the 33rd minute of play. Luis Galván fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agustín Rossi having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves David Beckham could shoot a difficult shot in the 40th minute, which Agustín Rossi however easily saved by the left post. 45 minutes into the match, Frontera AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Sven-Hendrik Ohmer came free, but Agustín Rossi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, C.A.Esparta's Sven-Hendrik Ohmer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Agustín Rossi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 46th minute, Sven-Hendrik Ohmer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C.A.Esparta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Sven-Hendrik Ohmer made the kick off in the second half. Agustín Rossi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Beckham, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 54th minute C.A.Esparta were awarded a corner. Omar Guichard went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 55th minute Naohiro Takahara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evelio Salvadore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frontera AFC's Gonzalo Pacifico was substituted for Celso Betadur. The supporters of Frontera AFC booed when C.A.Esparta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldo Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rd minute David Beckham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agustín Rossi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 66 played minutes C.A.Esparta got a freekick which was hit by Jonatan Strand. C.A.Esparta's Oswaldo Junior was substituted for Sven-Hendrik Ohmer. A collision led to C.A.Esparta getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Jonatan Strand hit a great ball. C.A.Esparta were awarded a corner in the 82th minute after Frontera AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Omar Guichard took the corner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oswaldo Junior in the 89th minute of play forced Frontera AFC's goalkeeper Agustín Rossi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Agustín Rossi came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by C.A.Esparta's Oswaldo Junior. But to his dismay, Oswaldo Junior quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. In the 95th minute, Julio Chus made a precise shot to the right of Agustín Rossi. Frontera AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. C.A.Esparta's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
