Lev Yashin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciprian Alexe in the 7th minute of the match. 7 minutes into the game, Minerul Baita -MM-'s Allan Shearer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lev Yashin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Lev Yashin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ciprian Alexe's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Nistor Maghiar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Farid Verrecchia, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After having played for 18 minutes, Farid Verrecchia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Le Stade Briochin UC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Farid Verrecchia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lev Yashin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Allan Shearer in the 24th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Le Stade Briochin UC's Jaime Tabor ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nistor Maghiar. Nistor Maghiar yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Lev Yashin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frederik Dhondt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frederik Dhondt in the 36th minute of play forced Le Stade Briochin UC's goalkeeper Lev Yashin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Minerul Baita -MM-'s Gordon Miner was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Lev Yashin in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 43rd minute Minerul Baita -MM- were awarded a corner. Maksymilian Bulkiewicz went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Allan Shearer in the 46th minute of play forced Le Stade Briochin UC's goalkeeper Lev Yashin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Allan Shearer charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Allan Shearer made the kick off in the second half. Nistor Maghiar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nolan Roux in the 51st minute of play. After 55 minutes Le Stade Briochin UC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Maksymilian Bulkiewicz who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Maksymilian Bulkiewicz almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Le Stade Briochin UC's Lev Yashin did a great save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ciprian Alexe got free with Lev Yashin in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 65th minute Ciprian Alexe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lev Yashin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Allan Shearer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Lev Yashin made a huge save. Lev Yashin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Allan Shearer in the 71st minute. Lev Yashin was out of position in the 95 minute of play, and Allan Shearer capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Allan Shearer really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. Minerul Baita -MM- made a substitution. Niculae Şantău replaced Allan Shearer. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Minerul Baita -MM- eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
