Remicio Price started the match with the kick off. Hanot Avellana hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. In the 6th minute, C.D Escuela Mayor's Valentino Ospina ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sandro Cavareda. Sandro Cavareda yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. A collision led to AFC Richmond getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Esteban José Fonseca hit a great ball. Sandro Cavareda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jeronimo Abalos in the 11th minute. When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Valentino Ospina sped through AFC Richmond's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sandro Cavareda. Valentino Ospina's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 19thth minute, Sandro Cavareda skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Antonio Noboa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Remicio Price's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Gau Piedra hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute, C.D Escuela Mayor's Eleuterio Huercanos dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. 30 minutes into the match, C.D Escuela Mayor's goal looked a bit too open when Xavi Diaz de León came free, but Antonio Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rd minute Remicio Price shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bartuelo Villafranca hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Remicio Price took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Antonio Noboa. Antonio Noboa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Sandro Cavareda didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eleuterio Huercanos went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. Xavi Diaz de León took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Antonio Noboa. Antonio Noboa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-3. After 43 played minutes AFC Richmond got a freekick which was hit by Vinicio Celada. Sandro Cavareda was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Jeronimo Abalos. 48 minutes into the match, AFC Richmond's Xavi Diaz de León sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Antonio Noboa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-3. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valentino Ospina to make the kick off. Sandro Cavareda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eleuterio Huercanos's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. With his leg Antonio Noboa managed to avoid a goal in the 56thth minute, when AFC Richmond's Remicio Price fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 57 minutes into the match, Remicio Price had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Antonio Noboa. C.D Escuela Mayor's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Remicio Price was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-4. AFC Richmond's Vinicio Celada managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Enzo Abad in the 60 minute of the game. After 63 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for AFC Richmond! AFC Richmond's Felipe Hernández was substituted for Xavi Diaz de León. AFC Richmond's Aníbal Marraccini was substituted for Fernando Tolhauzsen. If Remicio Price had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When C.D Escuela Mayor's Eleuterio Huercanos in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye AFC Richmond's goalie prevented a goal. Gustavo Martiarena kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Sandro Cavareda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eleuterio Huercanos, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. After 92nd play minutes Eleuterio Huercanos shot 7-4, a short shot which went by Sandro Cavareda and just under the crossbar into goal. After 95 played minutes AFC Richmond got a freekick which was hit by Aníbal Marraccini. Antonio Noboa made a fantastic save in the 98th minute, when Remicio Price sent off a good shot on target. AFC Richmond's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
