The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, C. A. Balnearia's Tugay Özyurek sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alisson Becker narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 7th minute, Maxim Pintilie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Buffalo Timişoara's Alisson Becker got control of the ball when Tugay Özyurek tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 11th minute, Carlito Sobera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 12th minute Tugay Özyurek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alisson Becker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 13 minutes into the game, Tugay Özyurek recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alisson Becker. Tugay Özyurek showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Dan Zdrobău sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Emilio Tartalo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albert Turdeanu in the 18th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emil Banciu in the 25th minute of play forced C. A. Balnearia's goalkeeper Emilio Tartalo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26thth minute of the game Emil Banciu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C. A. Balnearia's Emilio Tartalo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 28th minute Valentin Voicu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilio Tartalo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emilio Tartalo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dan Zdrobău in the 30th minute of play. Tugay Özyureks short, quick shot in the 31stth minute got Alisson Becker to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Buffalo Timişoara's Alisson Becker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damian Frantzes in the 34th minute of play. In the 40th match minute, Buffalo Timişoara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olgierd Kilar to maneuver through the defense. Damian Frantzes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Franky Ooms made a kick off. Vali Voicescu's late challenge caught a C. A. Balnearia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vali Voicescu helped the player get up and apologised. After 57 played minutes Buffalo Timişoara got a freekick which was hit by Vali Voicescu. Alisson Becker didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tugay Özyurek went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. If Emil Banciu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Buffalo Timişoara's goalkeeper Alisson Becker, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Emilio Tartalo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emil Banciu, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Alisson Becker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tugay Özyurek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alisson Becker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tugay Özyurek in the 75th minute of play. In the 77th minute Tugay Özyurek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alisson Becker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. C. A. Balnearia's Severino Nuxila was substituted for Abelardo Vistruario. Buffalo Timişoara's Narcis Ichim was substituted for Vali Voicescu. C. A. Balnearia's Mauro Todor was substituted for Damian Frantzes. It was a well-played corner which Guillermo Cuartio managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Tugay Özyurek's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alisson Becker read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. After some careless play in the Buffalo Timişoara defense, Tugay Özyurek kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alisson Becker. The Buffalo Timişoara fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alisson Becker should have stopped the shot. Lino Abechuco kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Narcis Ichim hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. After 94 played minutes Buffalo Timişoara got a freekick which was hit by Rahman Attar. When Guillermo Cuartio came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the C. A. Balnearia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guillermo Cuartio couldn't finish the play. C. A. Balnearia were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Buffalo Timişoara for a fine match.
