Bahiano Caballeria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cody McKay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Deportivo Ortegano getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Roman Makarewicz hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Urbano Diz got free with Bahiano Caballeria in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Deportivo Ortegano's Bahiano Caballeria got control of the ball when Urbano Diz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bahiano Caballeria made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Cody McKay sent off a good shot on target. The corner ended in Enrique Gilmore almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Deportivo Ortegano's Bahiano Caballeria did a great save. In the 30th minute, Key Biscayne FC's Urbano Diz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Orland Uceda in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck René Higuita prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Key Biscayne FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Deportivo Ortegano fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 39th minute. Penalty! All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Enrique Gilmore in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bahiano Caballeria saved Deportivo Ortegano from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jan Koller got free with René Higuita in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 58 minutes into the match, Deportivo Ortegano's goal looked a bit too open when Urbano Diz came free, but Bahiano Caballeria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th match minute, Deportivo Ortegano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Arandoja to maneuver through the defense. Bahiano Caballeria breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Gilmore in the 72nd minute of play forced Deportivo Ortegano's goalkeeper Bahiano Caballeria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Key Biscayne FC's René Higuita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan Koller in the 74th minute of play. In the 96th minute, Silviano Leguade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Ortegano's Christian Arandoja got a free kick in the 97th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Deportivo Ortegano players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Key Biscayne FC.
