Roman Steven lost his temper 10 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 11 minutes into the match, Piratas FC's goalkeeper Raimond Lenk had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Germain Zwyssig. Arnaldo Walthert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvestre Janpier in the 14th minute of play. Raimond Lenk made an important save on a dangerous shot by Igor Schwegler in the 16th minute. Arnaldo Walthert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Spyros Zacharioudakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Saenger in the 21st minute of play forced Piratas FC's goalkeeper Raimond Lenk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvestre Janpier in the 22nd minute of play forced Hemmersbacher SV's goalkeeper Arnaldo Walthert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luca Saenger spun around in front of the goal 24 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Piratas FC's goal. 30 minutes into the match, Hemmersbacher SV's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Rolado came free, but Arnaldo Walthert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Hemmersbacher SV's Raphael Moret got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 36th match minute, Piratas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baldomero Birjaio to maneuver through the defense. In the 37th minute Scott Herz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimond Lenk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th minute, Angelo Rolado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arnaldo Walthert was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 42nd minute Luca Saenger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimond Lenk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Silvestre Janpier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 44th minute Scott Herz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimond Lenk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Saenger in the 47th minute of play forced Piratas FC's goalkeeper Raimond Lenk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Angelo Rolado to make the kick off. Raimond Lenk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Scott Herz in the 52nd minute of play. In the 54th minute Hemmersbacher SV were awarded a corner. Germain Zwyssig went to the cornerflag to take it. Hemmersbacher SV's Germain Zwyssig was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Raimond Lenk in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Igor Schwegler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimond Lenk having to interfere. Hemmersbacher SV's Arnaldo Walthert proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Hemmersbacher SV from getting a goal against them. 63 minutes into the match, Piratas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Scott Herz came free, but Raimond Lenk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Piratas FC's Silvestre Janpier got a free kick in the 65th minute. After 66 played minutes Piratas FC got a freekick which was hit by Silvestre Janpier. After a defensive mix-up in Hemmersbacher SV's zone, Baldomero Birjaio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnaldo Walthert came out of the goal and Baldomero Birjaio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Piratas FC's Raimond Lenk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harvey Dresdner in the 71st minute of play. If Baldomero Birjaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Scott Herz scored 2-1 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Raimond Lenk, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Scott Herz put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Raimond Lenk. Raimond Lenk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Scott Herz in the 85th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 87 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Scott Herz sped through Piratas FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Raimond Lenk. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Scott Herz in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raimond Lenk saved Piratas FC from getting behind. If Scott Herz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
