The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, FC Dalin's Thorvald Mansel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Janne Katt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sonstorps Fotboll's Janne Katt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Phạm Nguyet in the 6th minute of play. Janne Katt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Törnblom in the 17th minute of play forced FC Dalin's goalkeeper Hoàng Tran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Janne Katt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thorvald Mansel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Thorvald Mansel got free with Janne Katt in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Phạm Nguyet during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, FC Dalin's Phạm Nguyet got a free kick in the 26th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Törnblom in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hoàng Tran prevented the ball from getting in the gole. FC Dalin's Hoàng Tran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Törnblom in the 29th minute of play. Hoàng Tran stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Törnblom's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. After 37 played minutes Sonstorps Fotboll got a freekick which was hit by Gavino Semeno. If Daniel Törnblom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Janne Katt didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when FC Dalin's Trần Ritchell shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-0 in the ordered_time% minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

If Bo-Erik Skytt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 50th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Txanton Sagastia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Janne Katt having to interfere. Hoàng Tran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Allan Helberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. 58 minutes into the match, FC Dalin's Thorvald Mansel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Janne Katt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 59 minutes into the game, Sonstorps Fotboll's Bo-Erik Skytt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hoàng Tran made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 62nd match minute, FC Dalin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Phạm Nguyet to maneuver through the defense. Dalmacio Jakes hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. In the 71st minute Jonas Rosendahl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hoàng Tran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th minute of the match FC Dalin got a corner. Sonstorps Fotboll's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Liễu Minh-ha ran over to the corner to take the kick. Janne Katt came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Dalin's Thorvald Mansel. But to his dismay, Thorvald Mansel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Trần Ritchell managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Dalin's supporters rose to their feet, but Trần Ritchell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Janne Katt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Trần Ritchell struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Janne Katt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Dalin. Sonstorps Fotboll's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
