The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

BAIRES's Anibal Cambiasso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pentti Ojala in the 50th minute of play. Kustaa Esala spun around in front of the goal 54 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of BAIRES's goal. The audience was convinced that Kustaa Esala's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anibal Cambiasso was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Juhapekka Snellman made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Andres Cambiasso sent off a good shot on target. 58 minutes had been played when some careless play by Liverpool FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gabriel Duarte was slow to take the kick. During this time BAIRES's players had a chance to rest. A collision led to BAIRES getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Ubaldo Cambiasso hit a great ball. Anibal Cambiasso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pentti Ojala in the 62nd minute of the match. Genaro Cambiasso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juhapekka Snellman having to interfere.
