Jataiense Futebol Clube's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Meta Noia in the 10th minute. It was a well-played corner which Marián De Bruyne managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. 15 minutes into the match, Jataiense Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Dale Pando came free, but Sem Titulescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute Tomás Lecanda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sem Titulescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sem Titulescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Şafak Baytugay in the 20th minute of the match. Alexis Viera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilmar Couto in the 27th minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 57 minutes into the game, when Claudinei Messias put in a rough tackle. A collision led to Jataiense Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 57 minutes play.
