The Uí Fergusa fans' excitement grew in the 7th match minute when Uí Fergusa's Adama Traore looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The crowd rose to their feet as Catugi FC's Carlos Alberto Soares slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sergio Rochet. That made the score 1-1 after 13 minutes of play. In the 15th match minute, Catugi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edson Couto to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute Xie Rong Hao shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reko Nybacka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 16 minutes, Miguel Pimenta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Catugi FC and the Uí Fergusa players grew even worse after the yellow card. 15 minutes into the game, one of Catugi FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 17 minutes into the game, Adama Traore cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Reko Nybacka was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adama Traore in the 25th minute of play forced Catugi FC's goalkeeper Reko Nybacka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Walmir Pombal hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Reko Nybacka took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilson Severino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 35 minutes Catugi FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was José Maria Pitta who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Uí Fergusa's Adama Traore to fire away a dangerous shot which Reko Nybacka despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Carlos Alberto Soares might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sergio Rochet. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carlos Alberto Soares ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 40th match minute, Catugi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erik Sanches to maneuver through the defense. Reko Nybacka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilson Severino in the 42nd minute of play. Catugi FC's Reko Nybacka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xie Rong Hao in the 44th minute of play. Sergio Rochet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walmir Pombal, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walmir Pombal in the 47th minute of play forced Uí Fergusa's goalkeeper Sergio Rochet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Xie Rong Hao could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Reko Nybacka made a huge save. Uí Fergusa's Sergio Rochet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walmir Pombal in the 61st minute of play. 63 minutes into the match, Catugi FC's goalkeeper Reko Nybacka had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Xie Rong Hao. Reko Nybacka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilson Severino in the 66th minute of play. Sergio Rochet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walmir Pombal, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 69 minutes, Reko Nybacka successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Carlos Alberto Soares blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sergio Rochet having to make a save. Reko Nybacka made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Xie Rong Hao sent off a good shot on target. After 87 minutes, Xie Rong Hao made it 2-3 with a short kick to the right side. Catugi FC's Reko Nybacka tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Catugi FC's Reko Nybacka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Birger Gijselinx in the 91st minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, Catugi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wilson Severino came free, but Reko Nybacka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Tristan Lenaerts fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Catugi FC's protests and gave Tristan Lenaerts a yellow card for diving instead. With an all-out effort, Uí Fergusa's Reko Nybacka threw himself towards the right post 94 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Wilson Severino, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Reko Nybacka made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Xie Rong Hao sent off a good shot on target. The Catugi FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Uí Fergusa's performance. The match ended with a win for Uí Fergusa.
