To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 14 minutes into the match, SANTOS FC- FDFDF's goalkeeper Jano Bezerra had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Armando Ferran. The audience was convinced that Chiquito Romero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jano Bezerra was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Chiquito Romero had several of the SANTOS FC- FDFDF's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 16 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Jano Bezerra as he didn't even see the shot coming. Gerardo Bernebe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Jano Bezerra made a huge save. In the 20thth minute of the game Kléber Botelho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but lןןl BANFIELD FC Lascano's Jesper Caspersson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jano Bezerra made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gerardo Bernebe in the 23rd minute. Marcos Mazuste kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. SANTOS FC- FDFDF's Breno Brodel got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jano Bezerra yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Jano Bezerra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcos Mazuste in the 34th minute of the match. Jano Bezerra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerardo Bernebe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gerardo Bernebe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Jano Bezerra made a huge save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcos Mazuste was the one to do the kick off.
