After a rather tough play, Estrellas de Caballito's Genaro Mouricio got a free kick in the 39th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alexandre Rodrigues in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Esteve Blanco saved Estrellas de Caballito from getting behind. In the 48th minute of the match Atlético San Alejandro got a corner. Estrellas de Caballito's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Velasco Abello ran over to the corner to take the kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alexandre Rodrigues stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Estrellas de Caballito's Esteve Blanco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Rodrigues in the 53rd minute of play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexandre Rodrigues couldn't finish the play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
