After 14 played minutes The Masters got a freekick which was hit by Franco Alfonso. A collision led to The Masters getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Gervasio Arce hit a great ball. César de Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Folkert Vos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Franco Alfonso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fynn John was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Fynn John stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Franco Alfonso's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling André Luís Best in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Folkert Vos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fynn John made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jair Busquets in the 38th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jair Busquets in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fynn John saved Atlético Mineiro from getting behind. In the 43rdth minute of the game Franco Alfonso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atlético Mineiro's Fynn John was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, André Luís Best took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Folkert Vos to make any attempt to save it. In the 46th match minute, Atlético Mineiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ove Friberger to maneuver through the defense. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and André Luís Best made a kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Franco Alfonso dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fynn John, 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Franco Alfonso got free with Fynn John in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Masters's Folkert Vos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benê Rodrigues in the 62nd minute of play. Federico Jurdan took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fynn John. Fynn John dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. The Masters made a substitution.
