Rigoberto Inguma charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rigoberto Inguma the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 9th match minute, CA INCAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigoberto Inguma to maneuver through the defense. César de Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 13 minutes into the match, CA INCAS's goal looked a bit too open when André Luís Best came free, but Henric Gadd reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute, André Luís Best made a precise shot to the right of Henric Gadd. CA INCAS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After a rather tough play, Atlético Mineiro's Long Samast got a free kick in the 19th minute. César de Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Henric Gadd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute André Luís Best shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henric Gadd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to CA INCAS getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Rigoberto Inguma hit a great ball. Henric Gadd showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Luís Best, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. 31 minutes had been played when some careless play by CA INCAS's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Huang Lin was slow to take the kick. During this time Atlético Mineiro's players had a chance to rest. Huang Lin made a great header on Atlético Mineiro's corner, it was just that CA INCAS's Henric Gadd managed to reach the ball for a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Long Samast managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético Mineiro's supporters rose to their feet, but Long Samast was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henric Gadd breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. André Luís Best was the one to do the kick off. Henric Gadd made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when André Luís Best sent off a good shot on target. Flávio Paraense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henric Gadd having to interfere. Long Samast received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Henric Gadd came out and tried to block the shot, but Long Samast slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 62nd minute. The supporters of CA INCAS booed when Atlético Mineiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Long Samast didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling André Luís Best in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Henric Gadd prevented the ball from getting in the gole. CA INCAS's Henric Gadd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Long Samast in the 71st minute of play. Henric Gadd came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Atlético Mineiro's André Luís Best. But to his dismay, André Luís Best quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Atlético Mineiro's Aldo Rivera was substituted for César de Queiroz. 79 minutes into the match, CA INCAS's goalkeeper Henric Gadd had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by André Luís Best. After a rather tough play, Atlético Mineiro's Flávio Paraense got a free kick in the 80th minute. Atlético Mineiro's Agostinho Faria was substituted for Waclaw Olchowy. The supporters of CA INCAS booed when Atlético Mineiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flávio Paraense didn't get a good kick on the ball. Isidro Toro charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Isidro Toro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 84th minute of the game. One of CA INCAS:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Atlético Mineiro:s goal. Falcão Arantes kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. 92 minutes into the match, CA INCAS's goal looked a bit too open when André Luís Best came free, but Henric Gadd reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The CA INCAS fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Atlético Mineiro were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
