In the 18th minute Örjan Johansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilbur Hyde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gösta Lundberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Wilbur Hyde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28thth minute of the game Örjan Johansson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but El Canalla de Chicago's Wilbur Hyde was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Domingo Lopez struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Mike Cassar Torreggiani didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El Canalla de Chicago. Wilbur Hyde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Örjan Johansson in the 33rd minute of play. Matthew Medrano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mike Cassar Torreggiani read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Matthew Medrano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mike Cassar Torreggiani was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. If Joaquim Vilar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mike Cassar Torreggiani prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mike Cassar Torreggiani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domingo Lopez, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Mike Cassar Torreggiani stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Domingo Lopez's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. 83 minutes into the match, Blåvitt's goal looked a bit too open when Domingo Lopez came free, but Mike Cassar Torreggiani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Michel Lundberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilbur Hyde having to interfere.
