When Maurice Odonnell came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Varennes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maurice Odonnell couldn't finish the play. Ximenez Cayuso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Goudreau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ximenez Cayuso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurice Odonnell in the 14th minute of the match. Timoteo Estevez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gilberto Boone read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Théophile Berger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurice Odonnell in the 23rd minute of play forced Ekzema F.V.'s goalkeeper Ximenez Cayuso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Ekzema F.V.'s Luisinho Toscano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gilberto Boone narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ximenez Cayuso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Seth Luke in the 32nd minute of the match. 33 minutes into the game, Ekzema F.V.'s Timoteo Estevez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gilberto Boone made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 36 minutes into the match, Varennes's goal looked a bit too open when Timoteo Estevez came free, but Gilberto Boone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ekzema F.V. were awarded a corner in the 38th minute after Varennes's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Paul Birkendahl took the corner. After taking down the ball on Ekzema F.V.'s corner Andrzej Koperski fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gilberto Boone quite easily take care of the ball. Bernardo Goudreau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gilberto Boone made an important save on a dangerous shot by Timoteo Estevez in the 46th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lisandro Piearres to strike the kick off in the second half. Seth Luke could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Ximenez Cayuso made a huge save. Lisandro Piearres's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gilberto Boone read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Gilberto Boone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lisandro Piearres, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Ximenez Cayuso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wendell Petit in the 61st minute of the match. In the 65th minute Luisinho Toscano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Boone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Varennes defense, Luisinho Toscano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gilberto Boone. The Varennes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gilberto Boone should have stopped the shot. Varennes's Titus Pineda was substituted for Bernardo Goudreau. Gilberto Boone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lisandro Piearres in the 73rd minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Ekzema F.V.'s Lisandro Piearres sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gilberto Boone narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lisandro Piearres took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gilberto Boone. Gilberto Boone dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. In the 83rd minute, Wendell Petit hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 84 minutes of play, Ekzema F.V.'s Lisandro Piearres made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gilberto Boone was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Varennes booed when Ekzema F.V. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lisandro Piearres didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ekzema F.V. fans cheered their team off the field, for while Varennes had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
