Peter Bautmans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esteban Đido in the 33rd minute of play. 33 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when alvarado's Esteban Đido fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esteban Đido in the 36th minute of play forced FC Bredene's goalkeeper Peter Bautmans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. alvarado's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Esteban Đido in the 37th minute. After 41 played minutes alvarado got a freekick which was hit by William Garsby. Epifanio Guerrero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pieter-Maarten Vaes in the 42nd minute. 42 minutes into the game, Zacharias Makrodimitris was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Bredene's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave alvarado the free kick. In the 45th match minute, FC Bredene was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johnny Van Den Wijngaert to maneuver through the defense. In the 46th minute of the match Esteban Đido sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Peter Bautmans skillfully saved the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Esteban Đido stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 61 played minutes alvarado got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Veto. If Rick Wood had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. Esteban Đido showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. In the 77th minute Esteban Đido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Bautmans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th minute, Johnny Van Den Wijngaert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Aris Kounadakis, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 82 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Epifanio Guerrero was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. With a little luck, FC Bredene's Peter Bautmans got control of the ball when Ulf Heyse tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esteban Đido in the 94th minute of play forced FC Bredene's goalkeeper Peter Bautmans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Zacharias Makrodimitris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The alvarado players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
