When Carlos Gustavo Caicedo came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Navalito fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Gustavo Caicedo couldn't finish the play. FC Beatriz 08's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Navalito the free kick. 41 minutes into the match, FC Beatriz 08's goalkeeper Eurico lago had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicanor Parra. Nicanor Parra struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Eurico lago didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Navalito. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nicanor Parra stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 90th minute Isidoro Young shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eurico lago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gaspar Gago was shown his second yellow card after 91 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Eurico lago came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Navalito's Carlos Gustavo Caicedo. But to his dismay, Carlos Gustavo Caicedo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Navalito's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
