Rune Norberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Raimundo Tupper in the 10th minute. Ilkka Markkula made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Odman in the 13th minute of play. Rune Norberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimundo Tupper in the 14th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Raimundo Tupper kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rune Norberg. That made the score 2-0 in the 18 minute of play. Onsala Ass Kickers's Rune Norberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yan Zhi Chuan in the 20th minute of play. Ilkka Markkula showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan-Olof Brogren, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Arvid Grönlund hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. In the 40th minute, Gilberto Sandoval got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 44th minute Silvio Navia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rune Norberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Raimundo Tupper to strike the kick off in the second half. The Club Deportes Santa Cruz fans' excitement grew in the 52nd match minute when Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Yan Zhi Chuan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Hüseyin Rahmi Toper managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Börje Engström in the 56 minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yan Zhi Chuan in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rune Norberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 61st minute, Raimundo Tupper made a precise shot to the right of Rune Norberg. Onsala Ass Kickers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Yan Zhi Chuan scored 6-0 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rune Norberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 70 minutes, Yan Zhi Chuan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yan Zhi Chuan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rune Norberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raimundo Tupper in the 71st minute of play. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's attentive Hüseyin Rahmi Toper managed to snatch the ball when Börje Engström made a throw-in in the 74th minute of the game. Hüseyin Rahmi Toper received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Rune Norberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th minute, Vincent Nyström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Qu Zheng Song recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 80thth minute of the game Yan Zhi Chuan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Onsala Ass Kickers's Rune Norberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rune Norberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raimundo Tupper, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Silvio Navia suffered a sore thigh after 83 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 83 played minutes Onsala Ass Kickers got a freekick which was hit by Jan-Olof Brogren. Club Deportes Santa Cruz made a substitution. Rolando Solares replaced Silvio Navia. The supporters of Club Deportes Santa Cruz booed when Onsala Ass Kickers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan-Olof Brogren didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Raimundo Tupper in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Club Deportes Santa Cruz had played much better football throughout.
