After 17 minutes Lokomotiv Plovdiv's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sergio-Roberto Dinamite who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Faustão Terra almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Lokomotiv Plovdiv's Krum Nikolchov did a great save. Krum Nikolchov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aníbal Goiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jiang Bing Yi kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, Misericordia EC's goal looked a bit too open when Facundo Nazario came free, but Paulo Leão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Facundo Nazario sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Zico Maravilha took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Krum Nikolchov to make any attempt to save it. Lokomotiv Plovdiv's Facundo Nazario got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Facundo Nazario received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Paulo Leão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Faustão Terra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Krum Nikolchov having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Valdomiro Luz made a kick off. After 64 played minutes Lokomotiv Plovdiv got a freekick which was hit by Krasen Kalenov. Lokomotiv Plovdiv made a substitution. Witomir Orszak replaced Jordi Alba. After some careless play in the Lokomotiv Plovdiv defense, Zico Maravilha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Krum Nikolchov. The Lokomotiv Plovdiv fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Krum Nikolchov should have stopped the shot. Krum Nikolchov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Faustão Terra, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Facundo Nazario got free with Paulo Leão in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Facundo Nazario took a quick shot and it went in 4-1 without a chance for Paulo Leão to make any attempt to save it. Paulo Leão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Facundo Nazario in the 83rd minute of play. In the 85th minute of the match Lokomotiv Plovdiv got a corner. Misericordia EC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Krasen Kalenov ran over to the corner to take the kick. Facundo Nazario's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulo Leão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Krum Nikolchov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faustão Terra in the 93rd minute of the match. Misericordia EC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
