In the 19th minute, Richard Mendonça made a precise shot to the right of Coleman Boisclair. Toronto United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. In the 23rd minute of the match, Richard Mendonça got a very nice opportunity to score, but Coleman Boisclair was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 24 minutes, Georges Howard mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Toronto United and the Inter Gala players grew even worse after the yellow card. Toronto United's Coleman Boisclair played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristóvão Ribeiro in the 26th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Richard Mendonça made a precise shot to the right of Coleman Boisclair. Toronto United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Inter Gala's Edgar Souto got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 32 minutes into the game, Brady Erickson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Toronto United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Inter Gala the free kick. In the 32nd match minute, Toronto United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brady Erickson to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edgar Souto got free with Coleman Boisclair in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Coleman Boisclair made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richard Mendonça in the 34th minute of play. 39 minutes into the game, Inter Gala's Edgar Souto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Coleman Boisclair made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Toronto United's Coleman Boisclair proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Toronto United from getting a goal against them. Eduardo Baiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dean Park in the 47th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dean Park was the one to do the kick off. 58 minutes into the game, Inter Gala's Richard Mendonça nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Coleman Boisclair made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Coleman Boisclair took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richard Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Toronto United's Jonah LaCaille got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Inter Gala made a substitution. Heinz Stalder replaced Jaime Rodrigues. A collision led to Toronto United getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Jonah LaCaille hit a great ball. In the 65th minute, Karl-Magnus Biörkquist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 68 minutes into the match, Heinz Stalder had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Coleman Boisclair. Toronto United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Heinz Stalder was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. When Richard Mendonça came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Inter Gala fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Richard Mendonça couldn't finish the play. Inter Gala made a substitution. Gustavo Salles replaced Donato Capixaba. The audience thought a goal was coming when Normand Gutierrez got free with Eduardo Baiano in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 76 minutes of play, Inter Gala's Karl-Magnus Biörkquist made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Coleman Boisclair was left in no man's land by his defense there! Coleman Boisclair came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Inter Gala's Richard Mendonça. But to his dismay, Richard Mendonça quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-0. Toronto United's Coleman Boisclair played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heinz Stalder in the 85th minute of play. 86 minutes into the game, Cristóvão Ribeiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 10-0. Coleman Boisclair was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heinz Stalder in the 89th minute of play forced Toronto United's goalkeeper Coleman Boisclair to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Toronto United defense, Richard Mendonça kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Coleman Boisclair. The Toronto United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Coleman Boisclair should have stopped the shot. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Inter Gala had played much better football throughout.
