In the 16th minute of the match, Jaime Telesforo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Zé Paulo Valadares saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The audience was convinced that Engin Ünveren's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zé Paulo Valadares was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. In the 23rdth minute of the game Engin Ünveren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but JJTrips FC's Zé Paulo Valadares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Engin Ünveren who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 28thth minute tested the skills of Zé Paulo Valadares when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 32 minutes into the match, JJTrips FC's goalkeeper Zé Paulo Valadares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Engin Ünveren. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind JJTrips FC's goalkeeper Zé Paulo Valadares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. JJTrips FC's Zé Paulo Valadares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Engin Ünveren in the 43rd minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tolga İkbal to make the kick off. When Toronto United's Engin Ünveren in the 51st minute got a chance for a shot 51st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye JJTrips FC's goalie prevented a goal. Zé Paulo Valadares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Telesforo, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. After 54 played minutes Toronto United got a freekick which was hit by Thaddeus Patterson. Keven Wolf struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Zé Paulo Valadares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Toronto United. 62 minutes into the match, JJTrips FC's goal looked a bit too open when Keven Wolf came free, but Zé Paulo Valadares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Toronto United getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Royal Swift hit a great ball. With a little luck, Toronto United's Beau Mercier got control of the ball when Tolga İkbal tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in JJTrips FC's zone, Ludovic Molnár stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Paulo Valadares came out of the goal and Ludovic Molnár tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Toronto United's Engin Ünveren in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye JJTrips FC's goalie prevented a goal. Engin Ünveren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Zé Paulo Valadares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Engin Ünveren in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zé Paulo Valadares saved JJTrips FC from getting behind. After some careless play in the Toronto United defense, Sérgio Donato kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Beau Mercier. The Toronto United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Beau Mercier should have stopped the shot. Toronto United's Engin Ünveren got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zé Paulo Valadares came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Toronto United's Jaime Telesforo. But to his dismay, Jaime Telesforo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
