But to his dismay, Miroslav Klose quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 16 minutes into the match, Miroslav Klose had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Izydor Birkenhagen. Yara Poland's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Miroslav Klose was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. The QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. If Ilídio Abrantes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Yara Poland's Olaf Kochowski got a free kick in the 26th minute. Izydor Birkenhagen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miroslav Klose in the 30th minute of the match. In the 31st match minute, Yara Poland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Igor Derlanga to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th minute Miroslav Klose shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Izydor Birkenhagen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miroslav Klose in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Izydor Birkenhagen saved Yara Poland from getting behind. 46 minutes into the match, Miroslav Klose had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Izydor Birkenhagen. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Korneliusz Rakoski was the one to do the kick off. Miroslav Klose charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Izydor Birkenhagen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C.. Miroslav Klose was extremely unlucky when he, in the 65th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Yara Poland's defense didn't have a chance, in the 69th minute, when Miroslav Klose scored to the left of an out of position Izydor Birkenhagen, making the score, 0-8. Bernardo Simões took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 82nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Izydor Birkenhagen. Yara Poland's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Yara Poland's defense didn't have a chance, in the 86th minute, when Miroslav Klose scored to the left of an out of position Izydor Birkenhagen, making the score, 0-10. The crowd rose to their feet as Miroslav Klose kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Izydor Birkenhagen. That made the score 0-13 in the 97 minute of play. QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C. played a much better game than Yara Poland and deserved their victory. The Yara Poland players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
