Spectators: 7450 (Terracing: 5589, Seating: 1713, VIP seats: 148) islahiye spor's Murat Oncu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Onur Övünç received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. In the 4th minute, Tansel Kahveci hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Murat Oncu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Murat Oncu in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Neco Arslanoğlu saved KARŞIYAKA from getting behind. Santo Casillas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Veniamin Zisimopoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Jonathan Unsworth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Neco Arslanoğlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of islahiye spor booed when KARŞIYAKA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hank Feldman didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the islahiye spor defense, Şansal Rüşti kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Santo Casillas. The islahiye spor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Santo Casillas should have stopped the shot. In the 26th minute of the match Rupert Brähmig sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Santo Casillas skillfully saved the ball. Santo Casillas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Veniamin Zisimopoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Santo Casillas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Veniamin Zisimopoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 35th minute, Stefan Hilditch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 37 played minutes islahiye spor got a freekick which was hit by Stefan Hilditch. Vicente Ponzio kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. When Sahnoyan Şah came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the KARŞIYAKA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sahnoyan Şah couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Unsworth's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Neco Arslanoğlu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. After the first half KARŞIYAKA were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Veniamin Zisimopoulos made a kick off. With a little luck, islahiye spor's Santo Casillas got control of the ball when Veniamin Zisimopoulos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Yetkiner Atik kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. 余义枫's late challenge caught a KARŞIYAKA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. 余义枫 helped the player get up and apologised. After 61 played minutes islahiye spor got a freekick which was hit by 余义枫. In the 68th minute, Özer Uluerkan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 70th minute of the match Murat Oncu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Neco Arslanoğlu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Rupert Brähmig kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Neco Arslanoğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Murat Oncu in the 80th minute of the match. After having played for 83 minutes, Murat Oncu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. islahiye spor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Murat Oncu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Şansal Rüşti hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. In the 88th minute Murat Oncu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Neco Arslanoğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Murat Oncu in the 90th minute of play forced KARŞIYAKA's goalkeeper Neco Arslanoğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The KARŞIYAKA players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
