After a defensive mix-up in CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's zone, Ignacy Rzegotka stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juvenal Sergipano came out of the goal and Ignacy Rzegotka tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ovando Vera in the 11th minute of play forced CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's goalkeeper Juvenal Sergipano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Juvenal Sergipano managed to avoid a goal in the 12thth minute, when MKS Pogoń Szczecin's Clodoveo Ponce fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 14thth minute of the game Lobo Zornoza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MKS Pogoń Szczecin's Wiktor Dudkowski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's Juvenal Sergipano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE from getting a goal against them. 25 minutes into the match, CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's goal looked a bit too open when Clodoveo Ponce came free, but Juvenal Sergipano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aleksander Majewski hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Lobo Zornoza managed to get in a good position for a shot. CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's supporters rose to their feet, but Lobo Zornoza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wiktor Dudkowski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wiktor Dudkowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lobo Zornoza in the 32nd minute of play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Célio Fontes was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brian Johnson in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wiktor Dudkowski saved MKS Pogoń Szczecin from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ignacy Rzegotka in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juvenal Sergipano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's goalkeeper Juvenal Sergipano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Wiktor Dudkowski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Brian Johnson's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. 88 minutes into the game, Brian Johnson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Wiktor Dudkowski. Brian Johnson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE made a substitution. José Paulo Almeida replaced Geovânio Galvão.
