Spectators: 7481 (Terracing: 5612, Seating: 1720, VIP seats: 149) XV de Piracicaba's Valdir Marquez started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute, Toninho Galvão made a precise shot to the right of Anthony Cahill. Real Death Ducks's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Fonso Zotillo didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 9th minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. In the 11th minute, Kevin Haseldine hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 16 played minutes Real Death Ducks got a freekick which was hit by Kevin Haseldine. 19 minutes into the match, XV de Piracicaba's goalkeeper Fonso Zotillo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Keanu Sawyer. Yuri Tasso kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Bart Ryder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fonso Zotillo having to interfere. The XV de Piracicaba fans' excitement grew in the 26th match minute when XV de Piracicaba's Toninho Galvão looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Anthony Cahill came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by XV de Piracicaba's Valdir Marquez. But to his dismay, Valdir Marquez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. After having played for 35 minutes, Valdir Marquez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. XV de Piracicaba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valdir Marquez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 36 minutes into the game, XV de Piracicaba's Claudinho Arantes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Anthony Cahill made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. After 39 minutes, Toninho Galvão mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the XV de Piracicaba and the Real Death Ducks players grew even worse after the yellow card. Toninho Galvão hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. XV de Piracicaba's Fonso Zotillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bart Ryder in the 42nd minute of play. If Valdir Marquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anthony Cahill showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudinho Arantes in the 45th minute of the match. A collision led to XV de Piracicaba getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Hernani Nunes hit a great ball. Fonso Zotillo made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Keanu Sawyer sent off a good shot on target.

In the 52nd minute, XV de Piracicaba's Claudinho Arantes dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-6. After a rather tough play, Real Death Ducks's Kevin Haseldine got a free kick in the 56th minute. Anthony Cahill took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severino Capixaba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 58th minute, XV de Piracicaba's Valdir Marquez ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Anthony Cahill. Anthony Cahill yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-7. Real Death Ducks's Anthony Cahill played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdir Marquez in the 62nd minute of play. Claudinho Arantes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 68thth minute tested the skills of Anthony Cahill when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 69 minutes, Calvin Armitage mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Real Death Ducks and the XV de Piracicaba players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 69th match minute, Real Death Ducks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Calvin Armitage to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Real Death Ducks getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Calvin Armitage hit a great ball. In the 71st minute, Valdir Marquez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Valdir Marquez kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Anthony Cahill. That made the score 1-8 in the 74 minute of play. Claudinho Arantes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. XV de Piracicaba made a substitution. Ivo Brito replaced Hernani Nunes. XV de Piracicaba's Remo Goiano was substituted for Claudinho Arantes. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivo Brito in the 81st minute of play forced Real Death Ducks's goalkeeper Anthony Cahill to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anthony Cahill made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yuri Tasso in the 83rd minute of play. Anthony Cahill was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Fábio Montoia showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-9 in the 84 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Ivo Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot. XV de Piracicaba's supporters rose to their feet, but Ivo Brito was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anthony Cahill breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. XV de Piracicaba's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
