With an all-out effort, Foot Ball Club di Roma's Dorin Peter threw himself towards the right post 15 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Biagio Scoca, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a rather tough play, Juventus Țiu's Doru Baicu got a free kick in the 16th minute. Foot Ball Club di Roma's Yağız Ergünay got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dorin Peter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niccolo Zaniolo, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute.
