Benê Goiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nunez Alonso in the 31st minute of play. Paulão Barreto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 42nd minute Eriberto Ledesma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benê Goiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Candido Platon kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. 20 DE SETEMBRO's Emil Forsberg got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Emil Forsberg made the kick off in the second half.
