Gloria Verdinegra AFC's Jonatan Cordarell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Zaccardi in the 8th minute of play. XMAS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bruno Alessandrini was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. XMAS's supporters rose to their feet, but Dave Barillari was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonatan Cordarell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ernesto Minichiello's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonatan Cordarell read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. 23 minutes into the game, XMAS's Alberigo Gianfrancesco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Alessandrini in the 37th minute of play forced Gloria Verdinegra AFC's goalkeeper Jonatan Cordarell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half XMAS were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Denis Anaya's late challenge caught a XMAS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Denis Anaya helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 92nd minute of the game. One of Gloria Verdinegra AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of XMAS:s goal. Ernesto Minichiello who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 94thth minute tested the skills of Jonatan Cordarell when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ernesto Minichiello didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 1-5 via right post in the game's 96th minute. XMAS's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eulalio Berasko in the 99th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Filippo Barbato prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Christian Zaccardi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 101st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. XMAS played a much better game than Gloria Verdinegra AFC and deserved their victory. The Gloria Verdinegra AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
