Mala FC's Laerte da Mata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Zaccardi in the 3rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Zaccardi in the 7th minute of play forced Mala FC's goalkeeper Laerte da Mata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 9 minutes into the match, Alberigo Gianfrancesco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Laerte da Mata. Mala FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alberigo Gianfrancesco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Alberigo Gianfrancesco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 14th minute, Rodriguinho Lima reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Filippo Barbato. The goal made the score 1-1. 17 minutes into the match, XMAS's goalkeeper Filippo Barbato had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Washington Berger. After 18 played minutes Mala FC got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Dante. 19 minutes into the game, Christian Zaccardi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Laerte da Mata was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 23 minutes into the match, XMAS's goal looked a bit too open when Joélson Terra came free, but Filippo Barbato reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in XMAS's zone, Washington Berger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filippo Barbato came out of the goal and Washington Berger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 26 minutes into the match, Mala FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ernesto Minichiello came free, but Laerte da Mata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christiano de Souza was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 29 minutes into the match. 28 minutes into the game, one of Mala FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After a rather tough play, XMAS's Alberigo Gianfrancesco got a free kick in the 31st minute. In the 37th minute, Joélson Terra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 41 minutes, Rodriguinho Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mala FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodriguinho Lima was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mala FC's goalkeeper Laerte da Mata, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rodriguinho Lima made a kick off. Filippo Barbato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joélson Terra in the 53rd minute of the match. 55 minutes into the match, Mala FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alberigo Gianfrancesco came free, but Laerte da Mata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th minute, Ernesto Minichiello ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Laerte da Mata was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. 60 minutes into the game, Luciano Negri was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mala FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave XMAS the free kick. Luciano Negri kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberigo Gianfrancesco in the 62nd minute of play forced Mala FC's goalkeeper Laerte da Mata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, XMAS's Laerte da Mata threw himself towards the right post 64 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Christian Zaccardi, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Laerte da Mata showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesto Minichiello, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 66th minute, Samuel Dante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 72nd minute, Alberigo Gianfrancesco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Laerte da Mata was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. The supporters of XMAS booed when Mala FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodriguinho Lima didn't get a good kick on the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Mala FC's goalkeeper Laerte da Mata had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ernesto Minichiello. Alberigo Gianfrancesco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alberigo Gianfrancesco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When XMAS's Ernesto Minichiello in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mala FC's goalie prevented a goal.
