Goiás Esporte Clube's Natanael Paraense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrik Újvári in the 22nd minute of play. Edelényi Bányász's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Goiás Esporte Clube the free kick. In the 74th minute, Örs Markó got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Patrik Újvári could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Natanael Paraense made a huge save. In the 78th minute, Örs Markó got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 80thth minute of the game Rogério Alagoano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Edelényi Bányász's Béla Simon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. He was immediately shown a red card. Béla Simon had in the 92ndth minute some difficulties stopping Dong Xuan Xi's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Rogério Alagoano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 97th minute Rogério Alagoano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Béla Simon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Goiás Esporte Clube fans cheered their team off the field, for while Edelényi Bányász had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
