In the 11th minute, Santa Margarita's Dave Basso ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mazinho Fernandez. Dave Basso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mazinho Fernandez having to make a save. Mazinho Fernandez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mazinho Fernandez was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dave Basso showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 21 minute of play.
