Adam Druga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Monico having to interfere. Emerald's Sandu Alungulesei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Israel Gaza in the 29th minute of play. Sandu Alungulesei made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Ali Modrić sent off a good shot on target. 32 minutes into the match, Guiñazú FC's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Piţurcă came free, but Armando Monico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th minute, Adam Druga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Armando Monico was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Sandu Alungulesei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clemente Emesto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sandu Alungulesei didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Clemente Emesto went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After 45 played minutes Guiñazú FC got a freekick which was hit by Serafino Bladi. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ali Modrić stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute of the match Guiñazú FC got a corner. Emerald's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ali Modrić ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ali Modrić made a great header on Guiñazú FC's corner, it was just that Emerald's Sandu Alungulesei managed to reach the ball for a save. Armando Monico showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pompiliu Uncheşelu, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Adam Druga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clemente Emesto in the 58th minute of play forced Emerald's goalkeeper Sandu Alungulesei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Pompiliu Uncheşelu put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Armando Monico. Sandu Alungulesei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ali Modrić in the 70th minute of the match. In the 79th minute of the match Vladimiro Millan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sandu Alungulesei showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Armando Monico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Druga in the 90th minute of play. Adam Druga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
