Kusti Veide started the match with the kick off. When Robert Pires came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Blåränderna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robert Pires couldn't finish the play. In the 14th minute, Nigel Winterburn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 15 minutes into the match, Blåränderna's goal looked a bit too open when Mait Sulg came free, but Alfred Tingelholm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. George Unesson hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. George Unesson charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed George Unesson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 21st minute, George Unesson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marti Salumäe took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 21st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alfred Tingelholm. Blåränderna's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 35th minute, Pavel Kabonen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 39 played minutes Blåränderna got a freekick which was hit by George Unesson. In the 40th minute of the match Marti Salumäe shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alfred Tingelholm showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, FC Tamm's Mait Sulg got a free kick in the 44th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Robert Pires to strike the kick off in the second half. Janno Tenno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert Pires in the 57th minute of the match. FC Tamm's Janno Tenno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Pires in the 61st minute of play. After 62 played minutes Blåränderna got a freekick which was hit by Maximiliano Vargas. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marti Salumäe in the 65th minute of play forced Blåränderna's goalkeeper Alfred Tingelholm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pavel Kabonen's late challenge caught a Blåränderna's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pavel Kabonen helped the player get up and apologised. In the 67th match minute, Blåränderna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximiliano Vargas to maneuver through the defense. Pavel Kabonen kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Blåränderna's Tommy Heggert managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Pavel Kabonen in the 74 minute of the game. Kusti Veide fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfred Tingelholm having to interfere. Blåränderna's Tor Edberg was substituted for Robert Pires. If Boris Sjödin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 84 minutes into the game, Tarmo Lossimäe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Tamm's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Blåränderna the free kick. Blåränderna made a substitution. Bengt-Åke Lidström replaced Gert Björklund. After a rather tough play, FC Tamm's Tarmo Lossimäe got a free kick in the 85th minute. In the 90th minute Tor Edberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Janno Tenno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
