The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonjo Shelvey got free with Duarte de Barros in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Minotauro booed when Linghed Angels FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anders Lindsten didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonjo Shelvey could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Duarte de Barros made a huge save. After having played for 20 minutes, Raphael Tepedino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Minotauro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raphael Tepedino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 22 minutes into the match, Minotauro's goalkeeper Duarte de Barros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jonjo Shelvey. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raphael Tepedino in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck David Seaman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 36th minute Anders Lindsten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duarte de Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anders Lindsten in the 36th minute of play forced Minotauro's goalkeeper Duarte de Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Minotauro's goal looked a bit too open when Jörgen Magnusson came free, but Duarte de Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jörgen Magnusson's late challenge caught a Minotauro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jörgen Magnusson helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Linghed Angels FC's Jörgen Magnusson got a free kick in the 39th minute. If Jonjo Shelvey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Duarte de Barros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jörgen Magnusson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 45 minutes into the game, Jonjo Shelvey recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Duarte de Barros. Jonjo Shelvey showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Chicão Corrêa made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chicão Corrêa in the 54th minute of play forced Linghed Angels FC's goalkeeper David Seaman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Duarte de Barros showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 60th minute, Jörgen Magnusson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Linghed Angels FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Raphael Tepedino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without David Seaman having to make a save. Duarte de Barros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sten Bergren, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Jörgen Magnusson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 72 minutes into the match, Minotauro's goal looked a bit too open when Jonjo Shelvey came free, but Duarte de Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Duarte de Barros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jörgen Magnusson in the 89th minute of the match. Minotauro's Duarte de Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonjo Shelvey in the 91st minute of play. Sten Bergren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Duarte de Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Linghed Angels FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
