Sheep United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zachariasz Makomaski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Sheep United's Gerwin Broerse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zachariasz Makomaski in the 14th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Dark Prophets's goalkeeper Geronimo Argi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Henrik Kilström. 25 minutes into the match, Dark Prophets's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Sánchez came free, but Geronimo Argi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Henrik Kilström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Geronimo Argi made a huge save. In the 29th minute, Sheep United's Henrik Kilström ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Geronimo Argi. Geronimo Argi yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jakob Lundin to make the kick off. Dark Prophets's Geronimo Argi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Sánchez in the 55th minute of play. Gerwin Broerse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eduard Trifan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henrik Kilström in the 60th minute of play forced Dark Prophets's goalkeeper Geronimo Argi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jakob Lundin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Geronimo Argi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 64 minutes into the game, Sheep United's Jakob Lundin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Geronimo Argi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. With his leg Gerwin Broerse managed to avoid a goal in the 89thth minute, when Dark Prophets's Mai Ping Yi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 93rd match minute, Sheep United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pim Fortuin to maneuver through the defense. The Dark Prophets supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Dark Prophets would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
