Elliot Termander started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Estrela Vermelha booed when AFC Eskilstuna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sigvard Mellbad didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cido de Medeiros came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by AFC Eskilstuna's Elliot Termander. But to his dismay, Elliot Termander quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Estrela Vermelha's Hortêncio Cardoso got a free kick in the 12th minute. If Dan Njurenius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. AFC Eskilstuna's Elliot Termander got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. But to his dismay, Elliot Termander quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The AFC Eskilstuna fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when AFC Eskilstuna's Elliot Termander looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 26th minute, Elliot Termander got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lars Blom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elói de Godoi in the 29th minute of the match. Sigvard Mellbad kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Dan Njurenius scored 0-4 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cido de Medeiros, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Elliot Termander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. AFC Eskilstuna's Lars Blom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elói de Godoi in the 37th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Estrela Vermelha's goal looked a bit too open when Elliot Termander came free, but Cido de Medeiros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Elliot Termander put it in 0-5 from a short distance just to the right of Cido de Medeiros. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Elói de Godoi got in the 51st a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Lars Blom handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 51 minutes, Elói de Godoi put it in 1-5 from a short distance just to the right of Lars Blom. Lars Blom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo de Sousa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 71 minutes into the game, Dennis Nordgren was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AFC Eskilstuna's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Estrela Vermelha the free kick. After 71 played minutes AFC Eskilstuna got a freekick which was hit by Dennis Nordgren. Lars Blom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilvan Baptista, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. In the 74th minute, Estrela Vermelha's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Elliot Termander fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 76 minutes into the game, Enrique Proença cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-6. Lars Blom was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 79th minute, Dan Njurenius reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cido de Medeiros. The goal made the score 2-7. In the 83rd minute, AFC Eskilstuna's Elliot Termander ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cido de Medeiros. Cido de Medeiros yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-8. After a rather tough play, Estrela Vermelha's Hortêncio Cardoso got a free kick in the 87th minute. An unexpected shot in the 89th minute by Elliot Termander got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In a very dangerous position, a player in Estrela Vermelha fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 93rd minute. Penalty! The AFC Eskilstuna players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
