Kultapossukerho were awarded a corner in the 10th minute after Övertorneå RK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Veli Kuparinen took the corner. After taking down the ball on Kultapossukerho's corner Veli Kuparinen fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Austen Willis quite easily take care of the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Nuutti Vauhkonen dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Austen Willis, 1-1. The supporters of Övertorneå RK booed when Kultapossukerho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petr Nakládal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kultapossukerho's Elbert Hand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niclas Jakobsson in the 17th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Kultapossukerho's zone, Niclas Jakobsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elbert Hand came out of the goal and Niclas Jakobsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Kultapossukerho booed when Övertorneå RK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niclas Jakobsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ari Hakanpää could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Austen Willis made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Niclas Jakobsson in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elbert Hand prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 31st minute Nuutti Vauhkonen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Austen Willis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ari Hakanpää received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Austen Willis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Niclas Jakobsson in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Vilhelm Trulsson went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Henning Björk heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 41st minute, Niclas Jakobsson made a precise shot to the right of Elbert Hand. Kultapossukerho's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Elbert Hand showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niclas Jakobsson in the 45th minute of the match. The Kultapossukerho players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Övertorneå RK were winning 1-2.

In the 53rd play minute Niclas Jakobsson came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Elbert Hand. 1-3. After 56 minutes, Petr Nakládal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kultapossukerho and the Övertorneå RK players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Kultapossukerho getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Petr Nakládal hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Övertorneå RK's Tage Falk got a free kick in the 57th minute. Austen Willis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nuutti Vauhkonen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tage Falk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice moves Tage Falk could shoot a difficult shot in the 65th minute, which Elbert Hand however easily saved by the left post. Elbert Hand took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niclas Jakobsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Niclas Jakobsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Elbert Hand made an important save on a dangerous shot by Niclas Jakobsson in the 69th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niclas Jakobsson in the 73rd minute of play forced Kultapossukerho's goalkeeper Elbert Hand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute, Niclas Jakobsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Elbert Hand was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Övertorneå RK made a substitution. David Oleary replaced Michael Åkerström. Austen Willis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nuutti Vauhkonen in the 82nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Kultapossukerho's zone, Allan Pettersson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elbert Hand came out of the goal and Allan Pettersson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Övertorneå RK getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Tage Falk hit a great ball. If Ari Hakanpää had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claes Sjögren hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Övertorneå RK's goalkeeper Austen Willis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Övertorneå RK eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
