In the 11thth minute of the game Răzvan Spineanu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AVAÍ F.C.'s Jailson Teles was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 12 minutes AVAÍ F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Leszek Pankiewicz who took care of the corner kick. After 15 played minutes AVAÍ F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Innocenzio Corales. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Răzvan Spineanu in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jailson Teles saved AVAÍ F.C. from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Răzvan Spineanu put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jailson Teles. Walmyr Salles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 35 minutes into the match, RED BLUE STAR's goal looked a bit too open when Dario Alegría came free, but Karol Pierz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Karol Pierz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dario Alegría, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jailson Teles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 姚然军 in the 40th minute of the match. 42 minutes had been played when some careless play by AVAÍ F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Leszek Pankiewicz was slow to take the kick. During this time RED BLUE STAR's players had a chance to rest. When Răzvan Spineanu came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the RED BLUE STAR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Răzvan Spineanu couldn't finish the play. RED BLUE STAR made a substitution. Sorin Manciu replaced Răzvan Spineanu. Valdir Martins hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. The AVAÍ F.C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. RED BLUE STAR were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Walmyr Salles was the one to do the kick off. Karol Pierz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walmyr Salles in the 55th minute of the match. RED BLUE STAR's Karol Pierz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dario Alegría in the 57th minute of play. In the 58th minute of the match, Eugen Văleanu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jailson Teles was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Karol Pierz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edu Antunes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jailson Teles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugen Văleanu in the 63rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by 姚然军 in the 64th minute of play forced AVAÍ F.C.'s goalkeeper Jailson Teles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of AVAÍ F.C. booed when RED BLUE STAR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sorin Manciu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leszek Pankiewicz made in the 70th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by AVAÍ F.C.'s Innocenzio Corales. Almir Matos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Karol Pierz having to make a save. Karol Pierz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walmyr Salles in the 74th minute of play. Karol Pierz came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by AVAÍ F.C.'s Walmyr Salles. But to his dismay, Walmyr Salles quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Jailson Teles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eugen Văleanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Karol Pierz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walmyr Salles in the 89th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugen Văleanu in the 93rd minute of play forced AVAÍ F.C.'s goalkeeper Jailson Teles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 96 minutes into the match, Walmyr Salles had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Karol Pierz. RED BLUE STAR's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Walmyr Salles was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1.
