The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute, Alan das Neves left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lupere FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Bjørn Brinkager made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabrício Jardel in the 9th minute of play. If Fabrício Jardel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. FC Hyklerne's Bjørn Brinkager played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabrício Jardel in the 11th minute of play. Bjørn Brinkager stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabrício Jardel's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Bjørn Brinkager took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabrício Jardel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fabrício Jardel took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bjørn Brinkager. Bjørn Brinkager dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Lupere FC's Antony Rodrigues was substituted for João de Sousa. Lupere FC's Telmo Valadares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Lupere FC from getting a goal against them. Ciro Di Croce hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. 30 minutes into the game, Lupere FC's Fabrício Jardel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bjørn Brinkager made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Fabrício Jardel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bjørn Brinkager read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. When Fabrício Jardel came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Lupere FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabrício Jardel couldn't finish the play. Fabrício Jardel scored 0-4 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bjørn Brinkager, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Lupere FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. The FC Hyklerne players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. The audience was convinced that Fabrício Jardel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bjørn Brinkager was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. In the 63rd minute, Fabrício Jardel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bjørn Brinkager was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. Lupere FC's Fabrício Jardel was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 73rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 77 minutes into the match, FC Hyklerne's goalkeeper Bjørn Brinkager had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabrício Jardel. In the 81st minute, Fabrício Jardel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. In the 92nd match minute, FC Hyklerne was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sophus Jønstrup to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the FC Hyklerne defense, Fabrício Jardel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bjørn Brinkager. The FC Hyklerne fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bjørn Brinkager should have stopped the shot. Lupere FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
