Independiente's Santiago Iliana quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Sílvio Ferraz, made in the 12th minute of the game. Master Champion's Nicolae Ceaușescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emilio Henric in the 14th minute of play. Lajos Vadász showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matei Corona, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 20th minute of the match Master Champion got a corner. Club A. Independiente's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Aarne Mikkola ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Master Champion's corner Aarne Mikkola fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Lajos Vadász quite easily take care of the ball. In the 27thth minute of the game Matei Corona who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club A. Independiente's Lajos Vadász was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 30th minute Tobiasz Rostow shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lajos Vadász saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Tobiasz Rostow ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lajos Vadász was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matei Corona in the 44th minute of play forced Club A. Independiente's goalkeeper Lajos Vadász to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lajos Vadász stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tobiasz Rostow's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Club A. Independiente's Lajos Vadász proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Club A. Independiente from getting a goal against them. In the 85th minute of the match, Matei Corona got a very nice opportunity to score, but Lajos Vadász was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Vladimir Shtapov kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Artur Vander took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 90th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lajos Vadász. Club A. Independiente's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 93 played minutes Club A. Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Emilio Henric. Lajos Vadász took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 胡峰阳, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match was over Master Champion could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Club A. Independiente throughout the match.
