The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Devlet Aydın made in the 4th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Ata Oğuzcan immediately put the ball in play. Jerzy Niedbalski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Frits Lenoir made a huge save. Jerzy Niedbalski scored 1-0 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Frits Lenoir, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yiğit Haşmetli in the 11th minute of play forced FC Czermno's goalkeeper Lin Hong Song to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yiğit Haşmetli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Lin Hong Song tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 29th minute Indiana University were awarded a corner. Hikmet Temirkut went to the cornerflag to take it. A collision led to Indiana University getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Mustafa Kemal Akman hit a great ball. Frits Lenoir showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerzy Niedbalski in the 34th minute of the match. Lin Hong Song took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yiğit Haşmetli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jerzy Niedbalski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 40 minutes into the game, Jerzy Niedbalski recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Frits Lenoir. Jerzy Niedbalski showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. In the 43rd minute, Ronny Åman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jerzy Niedbalski to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Indiana University's goalkeeper Frits Lenoir, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 54th minute, Ata Oğuzcan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 55 minutes, Ronny Åman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Czermno and the Indiana University players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, FC Czermno's Ronny Åman got a free kick in the 55th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yiğit Haşmetli got free with Lin Hong Song in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lin Hong Song was out of position in the 58 minute of play, and Yiğit Haşmetli capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Yiğit Haşmetli really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jerzy Niedbalski in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Frits Lenoir prevented the ball from getting in the gole. FC Czermno made a substitution. Leon Goretzka replaced Mariusz Snow. Yiğit Haşmetli's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 68thth minute, Lin Hong Song skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Jerzy Niedbalski scored 4-1 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Frits Lenoir, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Yiğit Haşmetli came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Indiana University fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yiğit Haşmetli couldn't finish the play. Yiğit Haşmetlis short, quick shot in the 74thth minute got Lin Hong Song to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 78 minutes into the match, Indiana University's goal looked a bit too open when Jerzy Niedbalski came free, but Frits Lenoir reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Indiana University made a substitution. Aykut Kocaman replaced Özalp Haliloğlu. The throw-in from Okanay Kiram in the 85th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by FC Czermno's Arkadiusz Karanowski. Frits Lenoir showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jerzy Niedbalski, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Jerzy Niedbalski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Frits Lenoir read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. Ronny Åman hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Görkem Baloğlu succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 4-2 in the 95th playminute.
