With a little luck, Dr Lecter SC's Celso Trevisan got control of the ball when Róbert Pál-Szabó tried to sneak it across the goal line. Celso Trevisan was out of position in the 27 minute of play, and Vasile Mumuleanu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Vasile Mumuleanu really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Celso Trevisan had great luck who in the 33rdth minute grab hold of the ball when Vasile Mumuleanu from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Eliodor Moisescu's late challenge caught a Dr Lecter SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eliodor Moisescu helped the player get up and apologised. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Corneliu Dridu made a kick off. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Champions Iasi's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After 65 minutes of play, Dr Lecter SC's Corneliu Dridu made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Frank Lauria was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Dr Lecter SC's Lauro Antunes got a free kick in the 72nd minute.
