The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Dr Lecter SC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Omid Kaulbach hit a great ball. Celso Trevisan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stelian Murgu, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. In the 12th minute, Stelian Murgu made a precise shot to the right of Celso Trevisan. Dr Lecter SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Celso Trevisan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Well-Well Benne in the 16th minute of play. In the 17th minute Vasile Iurea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celso Trevisan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dr Lecter SC's Celso Trevisan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stelian Murgu in the 18th minute of play. Celso Trevisan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stelian Murgu in the 25th minute of the match. Stelian Murgu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Celso Trevisan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Celso Trevisan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Well-Well Benne in the 31st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Well-Well Benne in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Celso Trevisan saved Dr Lecter SC from getting behind. Stelian Murgu took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Celso Trevisan. Celso Trevisan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The supporters of Dr Lecter SC booed when Club Vertigo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stelian Murgu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 39 minutes into the game, Dr Lecter SC's Corneliu Dridu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ovidiu Caranfil made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After 42 played minutes Dr Lecter SC got a freekick which was hit by Mauro Romero. In the 44thth minute of the game Well-Well Benne who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dr Lecter SC's Celso Trevisan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 45 minutes of play, Dr Lecter SC's Corneliu Dridu made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ovidiu Caranfil was left in no man's land by his defense there! The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The supporters of Dr Lecter SC booed when Club Vertigo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ysmael Celerain didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 58th minute of the match, Vasile Iurea tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Celso Trevisan saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Corneliu Dridu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ovidiu Caranfil read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. After 61 minutes Club Vertigo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luiz Fabiano Pitta who took care of the corner kick. Dr Lecter SC's Luiz Fabiano Pitta was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ovidiu Caranfil in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Well-Well Benne in the 66th minute of play forced Dr Lecter SC's goalkeeper Celso Trevisan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dr Lecter SC made a substitution. Fedele Di Fabrizio replaced Lauro Antunes. Club Vertigo's Ovidiu Caranfil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fedele Di Fabrizio in the 76th minute of play.
