With a little luck, Club Deportivo Polonia's Xerardo Gasso got control of the ball when Aku Ylönen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fausto Nisio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aquilino Velazquez in the 23rd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Aku Ylönen took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Xerardo Gasso to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, Club Deportivo Polonia's Aquilino Velazquez got a free kick in the 40th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ceferino Johans in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Xerardo Gasso saved Club Deportivo Polonia from getting behind. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Belarmino Viejo made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aquilino Velazquez got free with Fausto Nisio in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 63 minutes into the match, phoinix fc's goal looked a bit too open when Belarmino Viejo came free, but Fausto Nisio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Club Deportivo Polonia getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Dolfo Durango hit a great ball. In the 67th minute, Aku Ylönen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. phoinix fc's Fausto Nisio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save phoinix fc from getting a goal against them. Americo Loco hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Fausto Nisio was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from García Ramos. Club Deportivo Polonia's Xerardo Gasso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ceferino Johans in the 82nd minute of play. In the 87th minute, Virgilio Ramis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. García Ramos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Fausto Nisio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Aku Ylönen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. phoinix fc had won after a very even match.
