Ovidijus Merkelis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauro Icardi in the 7th minute of the match. If Nojus Bikas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 15 played minutes Geležinis Vilkas got a freekick which was hit by Jiang Xing Jun. 17 minutes into the match, Geležinis Vilkas's Nojus Bikas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anıl Mücahit Efe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nojus Bikas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anıl Mücahit Efe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. In the 21st minute, Jiang Xing Jun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 22 minutes into the match, Geležinis Vilkas's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Icardi came free, but Ovidijus Merkelis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Geležinis Vilkas's Ovidijus Merkelis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauro Icardi in the 22nd minute of play. Ariel Ortega could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Ovidijus Merkelis made a huge save. When Erzincan FK's Ariel Ortega in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Ovidijus Merkelis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jiang Xing Jun kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Ovidijus Merkelis was out of position in the 44 minute of play, and Ariel Ortega capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ariel Ortega really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

After 53 minutes of play, Erzincan FK's Mauro Icardi made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ovidijus Merkelis was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 56thth minute of the game Nojus Bikas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Erzincan FK's Anıl Mücahit Efe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The throw-in from Moreno Torricelli in the 58th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Erzincan FK's Kunter Haspolatlı. In the 63rd minute, Nojus Bikas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Geležinis Vilkas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Mauro Icardi kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Ovidijus Merkelis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ariel Ortega, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Geležinis Vilkas's Eitautas Ivoška suffered a fractured collar bone after 69 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 71 played minutes Erzincan FK got a freekick which was hit by Diguinho Botelho. The throw-in from Moreno Torricelli in the 75th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Erzincan FK's Alptuğ Gözlem. Mauro Icardi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ovidijus Merkelis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. In the last second Anıl Mücahit Efe throw himself and got hold of the ball when Nojus Bikas in the 77thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Geležinis Vilkas were awarded a corner in the 79th minute after Erzincan FK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Pan Yi Mo took the corner. The corner led Geležinis Vilkas's Moreno Torricelli to fire away a dangerous shot which Anıl Mücahit Efe despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Nojus Bikas might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anıl Mücahit Efe. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nojus Bikas ran back to his position shaking his head. Through an outstanding action, after 81 minutes, Anıl Mücahit Efe successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ovidijus Merkelis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Icardi in the 82nd minute of play. Estevão Viana hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Deimantas Satkus's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anıl Mücahit Efe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Nojus Bikas was extremely unlucky when he, in the 88th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Nojus Bikas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anıl Mücahit Efe having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Geležinis Vilkas players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Erzincan FK.
